Pause active work or continue a saved conversation with its existing context.
Before you start
Stopping work does not undo changes already made. Review the current files before assuming the project is unchanged.
Resume loads this saved conversation and reconnects the agent. Inspect its previous work before asking it to continue.
Step by step
Open the conversation that is currently working and choose Stop when you intend to interrupt it. Allow its activity state to settle before sending another request.
Read the last response and inspect any partial files. Stopping does not revert edits, stop every project service, or undo a completed external action.
When a saved conversation displays Resume this conversation, choose Resume to load its history and reconnect the agent.
Read the restored history and any recovery error. Send a precise follow-up describing what should continue and what requirements have changed.
For delegated work, inspect the lead and its assignments. Use Resume bandmates when the specialist assignments should resume; reopening the lead alone is not the same operation.
Review the next result against the original request and the follow-up. Complete outstanding checks before marking the work done.
What to expect
The work continues with its saved conversation context and your updated instructions.
Troubleshooting and useful details
The screenshot shows a saved conversation waiting for Resume, not an active provider run. If reconnecting fails, preserve the error and partial files, check the provider, and retry after addressing the cause. Avoid starting duplicate implementation tasks on the same files while recovery is unresolved.
