Add a project database connection and inspect its tables or collections.
Before you begin
Use a database you are authorized to inspect. Prefer a development database and choose Read only when you only need to browse.
A separate local SQLite database contains three fictional project records. The connection is explicitly read only.
Steps
Enable DB through Manage if it is absent from the project rail, then open DB → Add DB connection.
Choose Add connection and the provider that matches the database. Fill its provider-specific fields; for SQLite, choose an existing local database file.
Give the connection a recognizable name and choose its access level. Read only exposes browsing and filtering without edit actions.
Use Test connection and read the result. Correct the path, endpoint, authentication, or connectivity issue before saving.
Save the connection, expand it in the Database sidebar, and select a table, view, or collection.
Inspect the records and the access label. For a relational table, use a filter such as status=In review; separate multiple column=value conditions with semicolons.
Use refresh and pagination as needed. If you later enable edits, confirm the database and record before writing; read-only views and tables without suitable keys may remain noneditable.
What to expect
The project has a named connection and you can inspect the intended data with an explicit access level.
Troubleshooting
The screenshot uses a separate local database containing three fictional projects. SQLite setup requires an existing file; Choro does not create a missing one from the path. A successful connection test does not make every table writable or guarantee that you selected the correct environment.
