Turn on managed delegation and choose how much parallel work it can start.
Before you start
Delegation is an optional beta feature and is off by default. Saved Bandmate profiles and standalone Bandmate chats are available separately.
Turning on Delegation reveals the three limit controls. The values shown are the demo’s current settings, not a required configuration.
Step by step
Open Settings → Beta features and enable Delegation.
Use the minus and plus controls for Bandmates per task. This limits how many Bandmates one lead can run at the same time.
Set Bandmates across Choro to bound concurrent Bandmates across every lead. A per-task limit and an app-wide limit work together: allowing three on one task does not remove the overall cap.
Set Work revisions to bound the rounds of changes a delegated task may take. This controls revisions, rather than the number of Bandmates.
Return to the project and explicitly select the team through /delegate or a named request. The setting enables the capability; it does not choose or launch the team for you.
What to expect
The local preference takes effect immediately and the lead can use the explicitly authorized specialists within the configured limits. Start with a small team whose responsibilities you can review. For example, one specialist can inspect an interface while another checks its accessibility; the lead still needs to assess their findings.
Troubleshooting and useful details
Turning the beta toggle off prevents new runs but lets existing teams finish. To pause active assignments, use their Stop controls. Importing a workspace archive does not silently enable delegation. More simultaneous work can increase provider usage and make review more demanding.
