Implement a design or selected screens
Send a saved Studio design and its design system to a coding agent.
Last updated 23 September 2026
Implement prepares a coding-agent request inside Choro. Studio does not require Penpot setup or an external design tab in your browser.
Prepare the handoff
Choose Implement in the design header to include all active screens. For a subset, choose Screens → Screen actions → Implement selected screens… and confirm the screens.
Let pending edits finish saving. A failed save keeps the draft available instead of handing off unsaved changes.
Review the design attachment in the composer. It shows the design name, selected-screen count, and applied design-system name, with a thumbnail when available.
Add the functional requirements the agent should build: navigation, real data, validation, loading states, and any work that should stay out of scope.
Check the project and agent settings, then send the request. Opening the composer alone does not start implementation.
Your design system travels with the design
The attachment includes a fixed snapshot of the selected screens, effective design-system tokens, component recipes, fonts, assets, and local overrides. The coding agent is instructed to reuse that captured system and compatible existing project components. If the design has no selected system, it uses the screen’s local styles.
After the handoff
Later design edits do not change an earlier snapshot. Prepare a new handoff when the implementation should use an updated design. Removing the design attachment also removes its implementation target. Use Compare to review the running result and send corrections to the linked implementation agent.
