Review and apply design-system changes
Publish a reviewed system draft to its linked Studio designs.
Last updated 23 September 2026
Design systems keep draft and applied versions separate. Editing the draft does not immediately change designs that use the applied version.
Review the update
Finish the system edit or Agent request and inspect its specimen and Library.
Choose Review changes and wait for the comparison to load.
Read the changed tokens, component recipes, and fonts, and check the affected-design list.
Compare the system’s before-and-after images. When a linked design exists, the review also includes a preview from the first linked design.
Choose Keep editing for further changes, or Apply system to publish the reviewed version.
Open the affected designs and inspect their important screens. Their local overrides remain in place.
When application is blocked
If the draft or linked designs change while you review, open a fresh comparison. Missing fonts or unresolved token references must be fixed before applying. The Agent can prepare a draft, but applying the shared system remains your action.
Studio designs and application code
Applying a system updates linked Studio designs. It does not rewrite an application that was already implemented from an earlier snapshot. Prepare a new implementation request when the code should adopt the updated design.
