Delegate a bounded role without saving a permanent Bandmate profile.
Before you begin
Enable Delegation and start from a lead conversation in the intended project. Use an on-demand teammate when the role is specific to this task.
The lead composer explicitly selects On-demand teammate. Saved Bandmate choices remain separate.
Steps
In the lead composer, type /delegate and confirm the command. Select On-demand teammate in the Delegate to choices, rather than choosing a saved Bandmate.
Describe the temporary role, expected output, relevant files, and boundaries. For example, ask for three navigation-wording observations from index.html and README.md with no file changes.
Review the lead’s proposed assignment and answer any clarification needed to make the role unambiguous.
Follow the assignment through the Band panel and read the temporary teammate’s report.
Ask for a revision in the same assignment when it needs refinement. If you want the role available repeatedly, create a saved Bandmate separately.
What to expect
The temporary teammate participates in this delegated task without adding a reusable profile to Settings → Band. It inherits the lead’s model and effort.
Troubleshooting
If the lead reports that no temporary teammate is authorized, select On-demand teammate explicitly and resend the bounded request. A descriptive role name is not a saved profile or profile ID. The screenshot shows the actual selector. The temporary role should have clear responsibilities, and its report still needs review.
