Continue a Quick Ask discussion or return to it from Ask History.
Before you start
Use the current panel for an immediate follow-up. To revisit earlier context later, explicitly select the saved conversation in Ask History; a normal fresh Quick Ask launch starts a new session.
Ask History keeps the original question and its follow-ups together. The composer below the transcript continues the selected conversation.
Step by step
After reading an answer, enter a focused follow-up in the same Quick Ask composer. Refer to the specific claim you want clarified, such as what a verification command leaves untested.
Read the new answer alongside the earlier exchange. Keep the same topic in this conversation so the follow-up has a clear reference.
Open Ask History using the book icon in the Quick Ask header. The history view lists saved conversations and shows the selected transcript.
Search by a distinctive question, answer term, or project, then select the conversation you meant to revisit. Confirm its project and opening question before continuing.
Use the “Continue this conversation…” composer beneath the saved transcript to add a follow-up. Read the resulting answer in that conversation.
Choose New Question when you want a separate topic, or Start Agent when the discussion should become an actionable project request.
What to expect
The saved discussion retains its related questions and answers. You can revisit the reasoning without assuming every old conversation is automatically included in new Quick Ask context.
Troubleshooting and useful details
If an earlier answer seems missing, check Ask History and the selected conversation before asking the same question again. A new session and a follow-up have different context. Verify older advice against the current repository because files and requirements may have changed since the answer was recorded.
